- If your ISP uses PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet), click the Configure IPv4 pop-up menu and choose Create PPPoE Service.This information will be provided by your ISP.
- Type an identifying name for the PPPoE service.You can choose any name at all. This is just to identify this specific account.
- Click Done.
- Enter the password for your PPPoE connection.The best passwords use letters and numbers and mix upper- and lowercase.
- Press Command+Q.You exit System Preferences and your changes are saved.
